Review/approve previous minutes
Susie made a motion to approve the previous minutes;
James seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion passed.
Athletic Director Report
Billy will meet with coaches to discuss the parental feedback, the Board’s ideas for summer clinics/open gyms, and the fall practice schedule.
Treasury Report
Received a donation from Kimray.
Susie made a motion to remove Angela Burroughs from the volleyball account and add Destrie Horgan and Kathryn Mullenix.
Erin seconded motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
Secretary Report
Kelly will write a thank you note to Kimray.
Old Business
Coaches for next year
James made a motion to retain Kat Wilson and Charla Hodges as coaches for the 10u/12u girls.
Michael seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
James made a motion to retain Jamie Bullard and Hanna Grady as coaches for the 14u girls.
Michael seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
James made a motion to appoint Sam Packard the coach of JV (16u) boys.
Michael seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
James made a motion to retain Amy Grady, Erin Gerlt, and Murel Taylor as the coaches of the varsity girls (18u).
Michael seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
James made a motion to retain Ezra Zoschke and Chad Gerlt as coaches for the Varsity (18u) boys.
Michael seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
James made a motion to open the application process for the coaching openings for 10u boys, 12u boys, and 14u boys.
Michael seconded the motion.
All voted yes; the motion carried.
Summer schedule
May 15th is when we will resume our monthly gym rental. We will try to get a summer schedule completed and announce to parents once we have coach feedback and the board meets again to finalize.
Gyms we have confirmed for next year:
Wickline 2:30-4:30 M, R
(We plan to purchase rollaway goals for Wickline.)
Good Shepherd 6:30-8:30 T, R
First Baptist Church Midwest City M, T, R
Jarman update
The investor made an offer; Mid-Del’s realtor has been unresponsive. Offer already expired so submitted another offer.
New Business
Met with new volleyball committee members (Kathryne and Breen)
Lost their current practice gym; probably need to raise fees to cover a new gym’s fees. Would like to hold tryouts in May. Would like to get similar uniforms as basketball to be more cohesive as an organization.
Insurance
It is secondary insurance for our athletes.
Insurance needs us to make concussion report forms and incident report forms available for coaches to fill out in case of injury.
First aid kits/AED and CPR for coaches
We plan to upgrade first aid kits and ask all coaches to undergo CPR instruction. Brian Weatherford will donate first aid bags, an AED, and other supplies for these upgrades.
2026 Nationals hotel accommodations
Springhill Suites and conference room have been reserved for Nationals 2026. We will also book a few rooms at the Best Western across the street from Springhill Suites.
Banquet
Erin will work on program sponsors.
