The board reviewed the 10U/12U boys' practice schedule. We determined that First Southern offers better gym facilities and times compared to Good Shepherd, which is unavailable before 6:45 this season. Concerns were raised about 10U players having late practices twice a week, and we considered allowing 10U to practice earlier on one night. After discussing the advantages and disadvantages of different schedule options.
A motion was made to change the Thursday 10/12U practice times from 3-7 p.m. at First Southern to the following:
3:00 – 5:00 12UG
5:00 – 6:30 12UB
6:30 – 7:30 10UB.
7:30 – 8:00 optional shooting time for players who want to stay.
(Coach Chad will remain at the gym until 8:00 for players who want to stay and shoot, but that is optional for all players and not official practice time.)
Michael seconded the motion.
Those for the motion – Michael, James, Billy, Craig
Those against the motion – Susie, Erin

James made a motion that for future seasons a High School player cannot be a Knight’s assistant coach but a high school helper. High school players may help at practices but not officially be considered a coach.

Year-round Coaching inquiry: This is up on the website for potential future coaches.
Fundraisers: We will be doing the crockpot fundraiser this fall. The Alumni game is also a fall fundraiser. Later in the season, we will do the popcorn fundraiser. We also discussed the HUDL ads, and Erin will obtain more information about them.
Spirit wear: Craig is going to get the design submission together on a Google form for voting, and players and families can vote on a design. We have two designs from previous years that we will continue to sell. Craig will work on an online store to manage orders, and we will order shirts from Rainbow Printing.
Basketball Committee: We discussed the possibility of having a basketball committee. We will be having more discussion around this, but no changes will be made until the basketball season is over.
Christian Values statement: We discussed the need for a stronger Christian values statement in our Knights’ information. James will work on this. He will also explore the possibility of establishing an FCA chapter.
